Pedal Mania is free to download and play. Ride 20 km a month free with a smart trainer or power meter, the simulated trainer as much as you like, and go Pro for unlimited riding.

HOW TO INSTALL

  1. Open the DMG you downloaded.
  2. Drag Pedal Mania into Applications.
  3. Open it from Applications. The first time, macOS asks whether Pedal Mania may use Bluetooth: say OK, so it can find your trainer.

WINDOWS

Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit, with Bluetooth built in or a USB Bluetooth adapter.

HOW TO INSTALL

  1. Right-click the zip and choose Extract All.
  2. Open the folder and run Pedal Mania.
  3. The Windows build isn't signed yet, so SmartScreen may say "Windows protected your PC". Choose More info, then Run anyway.
  4. Turn Bluetooth on in Settings. There's nothing to pair there: the game finds your trainer itself.

HOW TO INSTALL

  1. The archive: extract it with tar -xzf PedalMania-26.10.29-6-linux-x86_64.tar.gz (or the one for your machine's architecture).
  2. Run Pedal Mania from the folder it makes.

Bluetooth goes through BlueZ, Linux's own Bluetooth service: check it's running (systemctl status bluetooth) and that Bluetooth is on.

WHAT YOU NEED

WITH A SMART TRAINER

  • Smart trainers over Bluetooth: KICKR, Elite, Saris, Zwift Hub and the others that speak FTMS, Wahoo's own control and Tacx's FE-C. Wahoo trainers with Direct Connect work over Wi-Fi.
  • Or a power meter on your bike. Cadence sensors and heart-rate straps pair too.
  • The road's gradient sets the trainer's resistance, so climbs push back through the pedals.
  • Your rides count on the leaderboards. 20 km a month are free; Pro is unlimited.

WITHOUT ONE

  • Ride the simulated trainer: every road route, track event and crit, with ghosts and robots.
  • Its rides are kept, but never ranked, and never counted against the 20 km.
  • No account needed either. Sign in and link the game to keep your rides here, race the leaderboards, and use Pro or a code on every device.
